This website is run by Bloom Accountancy Services Ltd (company number 12135976), whose registered office is 1A Fullers Hill, Westerham, Kent, TN16 1AF. We trade as Bloom Accountancy and we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what your rights are under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. The information we collect
- Enquiries. Your name, business name, email address, phone number and anything else you tell us when you call, email or use our contact form.
- Client information. If you become a client, the financial, business and identity information we need to do our work for you and to meet our legal duties.

3. How we use it and our lawful basis

We do not use your information for automated decision making, and we will not send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
4. How long we keep it
If you make an enquiry and do not become a client, we delete your details within 12 months. Client records are generally kept for at least six years after our work for you ends, so that we can meet our tax, legal and professional obligations. Records of identity checks are kept for five years after our relationship ends, as the law requires.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only where we need to:
- HMRC, Companies House and other official bodies, where this is part of the work we do for you or the law requires it
- Trusted suppliers who help us run the practice, such as our email, accounting and payroll software providers, our website host and the service that delivers contact form messages to our inbox
- Our professional body, insurers and regulators, where we are required to
Some of these suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as UK data protection law requires.
6. Keeping your information safe
We use reputable, secure systems and limit access to your information to those who need it. This website is served over an encrypted connection.
7. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to someone else. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will reply within one month.
8. Concerns and complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put things right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
